Ten people from the Communities First Cluster attended a Level 2 Emergency First Aid course at Llanelli Library and now know what to do in an emergency.

The one day free course covered key life saving skills, and gave the students the confidence that they could one day possibly save a life in an emergency. It also covered all the familiar first aid situations such as dealing with unconsciousness, burns, bleeding, choking, broken bones, diabetes, and head injuries.

One participant stated: “I’ve learnt so much in one day and I’m glad I attended the course.”

Communities First Family Learning Worker Rhian Richards said: “I am so glad that people found the course useful and now feel they have gained the confidence to approach an emergency situation.”
