There will be a high profile event in Carms to mark the start of the campaign, and this will be a beach clean on Cefn Sidan. In the past we have often held high profile events on this beach and the response has been teriffic, so it would be great if this time was no exception! We welcome all groups, litter champions, local volunteers, schools, colleges, disengaged groups, businesses and partner organisations to this event, and while cleaning up the beach is one thing (a great one at that), it can also give people a chance to speak to other like minded individuals about local issues or pretty much anything they wish! Details of the event are as follows:

  • Date: March 1st.
  • Time: 10am – 12pm.
  • Meeting point: Car park 2 in Pembrey Country Park – https://drive.google.com/open?id=10IJUAmXYfz-F5vcXXcC5BMtnjHE&usp=sharing
  • Equipment: Will be some available, but please bring your own (litterpicking) kit if you have it as we are limited as to how much we can carry in the vehicle. We will have plenty of bin bags available.
  • Suitability: Open to all, but children under 16 MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult. School groups should adhere to a ratio of 1 member of staff per 10 pupils. This is to ensure proper supervision is achieved as KWT / CCC staff cannot be held responsible for children attending.
  • Other info: When entering the country park, please inform the gate staff you are attending the beach clean to gain free entry.
