An extension to a Pembrokeshire football club’s clubhouse has been given the go-ahead by county planners.
In an application to Pembrokeshire County Council, Hakin United AFC, through agent BSR Design Ltd, sought permission for an extension to it’s clubhouse, along with an outdoor seating area and patio, at Observatory Ground, Picton Road, Hakin, Milford Haven.
The proposals were supported by Milford Haven Town Council.
An officer report recommending approval said: “The site adjoins the building’s west elevation, which serves as a football club to Hakin Football Club. To the north, south and west aspects of the application site is open space recreational area serving the rugby and football clubs.”
It added: “The proposed development would be sited centrally to a large open space recreational area which serves football and rugby clubs.
“The nature of the development would not be visually intrusive as similar manmade features, such as fencing and floodlighting exist to serve the open spaces. It is therefore considered that the development would complement the use of the surrounding land and be of an acceptable scale.”
The application was conditionally approved by county planners.
