WW2 Bomb discovered in Bynea!

An unexploded munition from World War Two has been found during excavation work at a site in Bynea.

According to unconfirmed reports, it is located on the Huntsman site and could be two World War 2 bombs.  Dyfed Powys Police have also been leading a multi-agency response following the discovery of a device yesterday afternoon.

“The munition has been moved to a safe distance away from any nearby risks and there is currently no need to carry out any evacuation of the immediate area at this stage,” said Chief Inspector Richard Lewis. “We will continue to assess the situation through the day and will provide updates in due course.”

However, businesses were evacuated and employees were given the day off work.
