Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service appliances from Llanelli attended a fire at the Diplomat Hotel, Felinfoel in the laundry room on the ground floor.
Crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and two thermal imaging cameras.
Multiple rooms were heavily smoke logged. Crews ventilated the rooms using a positive pressure ventilation fan. 25 people were evacuated from the property.
