Police are investigating a report of the theft of sheep from the Llanddewi Brefi area of Tregaron.  One hundred and thirty five welsh mountain sheep were stolen sometime between Sunday 1st March and Wednesday 25th March, 2015.

Sergeant Nigel Jones said

“Losing this amount of sheep means the loss of thousands of pounds worth of stock to the owner. A large transport vehicle would be required for the removal of the animals and I would appeal to the public to contact the police if they saw any suspicious vehicles in the area in the time period or have any information regarding the theft of sheep.”

Anyone with information is urged to call police at Lampeter Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 111 555.
