Road Traffic Collision on the A489 in Powys

At approximately 0850hrs on the 2nd August Dyfed Powys Police attended a two vehicle road traffic collision on the A489 in Powys between Kerry and Sarn.  The collision involved two vehicles, one was a motorcycle that was ridden by a 49 year old male, and the other vehicle was a mini bus with three persons on board.

Tragically the 49 year old male who was riding the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.  The three people on board the mini bus were not injured but taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

The road remained closed throughout the day whilst specialist officers’ conducted a thorough investigation to establish the cause of the collision.   Any witnesses to this incident are asked to contact Sergeant Chris Neve in the Roads Policing Unit by calling 101.
