ABNORMAL LOAD WILL CLOSE ROAD TO CAIO AT TIMES

AN abnormal road freight load will closing the road leading to Caio for short periods over five days from Monday, November 23rd.

The temporary closure Order for the C2173 has been requested to ensure public safety for the transportation of the components. The road leading to Caio will be closed from its junction with the C2156 leading to Porthyrhyd for a distance of three-miles in a north-westerly direction at Caio.

The alternative route for south bound traffic will be via the C2173 and the A482 to return to a point south of the closure.  It will be vice versa for northbound traffic.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit all vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists, other than exempted vehicles and persons, from travelling along the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice at times as advised by the police and or attendants employed pursuant to the Abnormal Indivisible Loads (AIL) (as defined in the Road Vehicle (Authorisation of Special Types) (General) Order 2003.

The prohibitions are expected to be for maximum periods of 10 minutes.
