RAIL CORROSION REPAIR CLOSES LEVEL CROSSING

Ammanford Level Crossing closure is required for the removal of rail corrosion by Centurion Site Services  from midnight to 5am on  February 9th  2016.

The crossing will be closed from a point 52-metres north-west of its junction with School Road Roundabout for a total distance of 60-metres.

The alternative route for south-east bound traffic will be to travel in a north-westerly direction along the A474 School Road to its junction with Wind Street.  At the junction, turn right and continue in a north-easterly direction along the A483 Wind Street to its junction with High Street.  At the junction, turn right and continue in a north-easterly direction along High Street to its junction with the A474.  At the junction, turn right and continue in a south-westerly direction along the A474 to its junction with Foundry Road Roundabout.  At the roundabout, take the second exit and continue in a south-westerly direction to its junction with School Road Roundabout.  At the roundabout, take the second exit to return to a point south-east of the closure.  It’s vice versa for north-west bound traffic.
