Cetma is setting up a football team for 16+ males in Llanelli. The purpose of the team is to fight Mental Health stigma and to provide somewhere where males can attend that will be non-competitive but friendly and provide fitness.

“Sadly there have been a lot of Young People (11 to 25), mostly males attempting to take their own lives in Carmarthenshire.” Said Jonathan Williams CETMA MD

“To help combat this, CETMA is training 2 volunteers up to become counsellors and we’re also working with local organisations to put in place a support network so that we can help as many people as possible.”

The Team is affiliated with the West Wales Football Association but will not compete in a league, but will instead play friendlies against organisations and businesses. “Newport County Community side have already offered us a friendly!”

The team are training every Monday in People’s Park at 6pm. If anyone would like to join or volunteer on the team then please email info@cetma.org.uk or visit
