Parc y Scarlets is preparing to host its first Finals Weekend, celebrating the best of grassroots rugby across the region.

For the first time, the Scarlets Youth, Llanelli & District Second XV and the Scarlets Junior cup finals will all take place over the same weekend, with the Parc hosting nine matches in all from Friday, May 16 to Sunday, May 18.

Friday sees the cream of Carmarthenshire take on the best of Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion in the Youth and Plate finals.

The Llanelli & District AJT Recycling Plate and Cup finals take place on Saturday, then on Sunday, it’s the ever-popular junior finals where the Carmarthenshire champions go head to head with the Pembrokeshire/Ceredigion champions in matches from U12s to U16s.

Scarlets Community Foundation Manager Paul Fisher said: “It’s fantastic that we are able to put these three days together over one weekend. The finals days are always well attended and we are expecting a couple of thousand people through the doors as we showcase the exciting talent we have playing rugby throughout the region.

“A big thanks to WRU Community staff and GMG Leads in facilitating the Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire & Ceredigion Cups, allowing this event to be possible. We’d also like to thank the officials for supporting the event and making themselves available.”

Entry for each day is £5 adults, £3 for OAPS, £1 for U16s and free for U5s.
