Home to University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Aberystwyth and Swansea universities, West Wales is not short of students. And yet, the growing youth population is grossly lacking financial security. Wales ranked as the second lowest area for savings for young people. 

Data from Prograd showed that over half of people aged 18-35 have £0 in savings, 28% had less than £1,000, 11% between £1,000-£2,000 and 2.8% between £3,000-£5,000.
