Officers will continue to target drivers illegally using Trostre bus lane

Police officers working in Trostre are warning that they will continue to target motorists who illegally use the bus lane leading into the industrial park.

The warning follows news that 21 drivers were booked within the space of two hours after being caught illegally using the bus lane at Trostre Retail Park. Some faced fines of £50.

“We have issued these warnings on several ocassions in the past but drivers continue to ignore the signs,” said PCSO Jessica Thomas. “This lane has been created purely for use by public transport. The lane is clearly marked. Motorists should be using the main entrance.

“We plan to carry out further enforcement action to drive this point home. So once again, motorists have been warned. Keep using this bus lane and you risk a hefty fine.”
