The Welsh Government’s National Transport Finance Plan 2015 has been published today (Thursday, 16 July).
The plan sets out a timetable of delivery, estimated expenditures and sources of funding for the Welsh Government’s key transport projects to support their economic and social priorities.
Transport Minister Edwina Hart said:
“Transport has a vital role to play in improving Wales’ economic competiveness and access to jobs and services. This Plan sets out how and when we will deliver improvements to our road and public transport networks to help businesses prosper and ensure people can access the opportunities they need to live healthy, sustainable and fulfilling lives.
“The schemes in the Plan target five key priority areas: economic growth, tackling poverty, sustainable travel and safety, and improving access to employment and to services. I am confident the investments identified will deliver a more integrated and sustainable transport system for all.”
