Four people have been fined £75 for various litter offences.
Council environmental enforcement officers issued the fixed penalty notices while out on patrol across the county.
A 47-year-old man was fined for dropping a cigarette end from a parked coach at the Co-op car park in Cross Hands.
Two men – a 29-year-old and a 22-year-old – were also fined for throwing fast-food related litter from their vehicles in the B&Q car park in Parc Trostre.
Finally, a 23-year-old man was fined for leaving some household waste in a hedge in Swansea Road, Llanelli.
Failure to pay could result in prosecution in the magistrates court where the maximum fine is £2,500.
Executive Board Member for Environmental and Public Protection Cllr Jim Jones said: “Our enforcement officers carry out patrols seven days a week and anyone caught dropping litter will be fined.
“Litter spoils the appearance of an area and can take years to degrade.
“We are determined to clean up Carmarthenshire and will not hesitate to fine those caught breaking the law in this way.”
