With West Wales Raider’s Coach Peter Tiffin.

On Sunday we had our first test of this years origin series, this test is a part of the 2016 junior origin series where east Wales face west Wales at under 14,15 and 16 ages groups, the whole day was at ystrad mynach centre for sporting excellence, the final scores we’re, West Wales Under 14s 30-8 East Wales Under 14s,West Wales U15s 12-32 East Wales U15s,West Wales U16s 28-40 East Wales U16s. It was fantastic to see so many children involved as the sport continues to grow all around Wales.
In the week we began our west Wales mini competition at Ysgol Dyffryn Taf,over the next couple of months we shall be visiting an array of schools all over west Wales to introduce rugby league to them all, after a few sessions with both these schools today we decided that years 9 from Ysgol Duffryn Taf would play Ysgol Y Strade to kick us off.
Even though the weather first thing wasn’t the best both schools turned up with large squads for the game, with the game 30 minutes each way it was great to see the talent there was from both. The final score saw Strade School sneaking the win 32-28.
The west competition will continue  next week as Tenby Green Hill will take part.
With a great morning of rugby league that afternoon we went on to a few meetings as the season is edging closer there is so much to organise, but one of the longest meetings was ordering   leisure wear for the staff and players as our kit manufacturer picton sports have over 30 items this season for everyone to choose from our raises range.
If anyone would like to order any off field kit we also have all 30 items available for our supporters.
