CETMA, a volunteer led social enterprise based in Llanelli is all set to once again organise Llanelli LGBT Day. The event, this year is part of the organisation’s Celebration of Llanelli Music Scene summer events that will be taking part in Llanelli Town Centre.
Llanelli LGBT support involves engaging with the LGBT community, increasing volunteers and training people in new skills.
Keith Evans, a CETMA Project Manager said:
“We’ve got live music this year from The Otherside, Fighting Fifth Huskeys, Johnny Velvet and Britain’s Got Talent’s Corrin Casini with others to confirm.”
“The stage will be there again thanks to Owen’s Transport and we’ve also got Studts Fair attending with some children’s rides and a bouncy castle, information stalls and lots more.”
“We’re still looking for volunteers to help out on the day and you don’t have to be LGBT to get involved.”
“The day is about everyone coming together to raise awareness about how far Carmarthenshire and Wales has come and how far it has to go in regards to equality and to celebrate achievements in the areas of LGBT.”
Llanelli LGBT Day is being on Saturday 5th August in Llanelli’s Spring Gardens next to the Jobcentre. It’s FREE entry and starts at 11. You can find out more details by visiting Facebook https://www.facebook.com/events/1402250293163645/
