SOUTH WALES POLICE APPEAL FOLLOWING SERIOUS RTC IN BRIDGEND EARLIER TODAY

NEWS UPDATE

South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a road traffic collision in Bridgend.

They were called to a collision involving a Renault Kadjar car outside the Spar shop, on Brackla Way, Bridgend, shortly after 10.45am this morning (December 13).

A 77-year-old woman who was a passenger was taken to the Princess of Wales Hospital with serious injuries.

Brackla Way was closed for investigative work to be completed but has since been re-opened. Officers would like to thank the local community for their patience and understanding.

They are also appealing for anyone who may have captured the collision on dash-cam or any other device, to contact the Western Roads Policing Unit via 101, quoting reference 1800470155.

Officers would particularly like to hear from the driver of a silver Honda CRV type vehicle, who may have witnessed the incident.
