South Wales Police are appealing for information after a burglary in Barry in which 11 French bulldogs were stolen.

The burglary took place in Hillary Rise, Barry, on January the 4th, at around 9am.

Eleven French bulldogs were taken which included five adults and six puppies. The stolen dogs were three lilac and tan adults (one male and two female), one sandy coloured female adult, one white female adult, as well as three white puppies (one male and two female) and three lilac and tan puppies (one male and two female).

A blue Mercedes E220 convertible index number KV15 YYX was also stolen along with a large quantity of cash and two-high value watches.

The watches stolen were a stainless steel men’s Cartier watch from the Ballon Blue de Cartier range and a stainless steel men’s Hublot Big Bang Aero watch with a dark leather strap (similar to those pictured).

Detective Constable Stephen Jenkins said:

“Needless to say the owners of these dogs are devastated. This is a heartless crime and we have concerns for the welfare of the dogs.

“We are appealing to anyone who may have been offered any of the dogs or items for sale to come forward. Anyone with any information is urged to contact us via 101 quoting reference 1900004131 or you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
