Ford President Joseph Hinrichs has said that the chances of a no-deal Brexit has risen in the last few months, highlighting disruption at borders and ports as well as the pound’s fluctuation.

Commenting, Best for Britain supporter Madeleine Moon MP said:

“The car industry is clearly worried about the new Prime Minister’s dangerous no-deal language.

“In the last week we’ve seen the pound plunge to new lows, costing businesses like Ford millions. Those kinds of losses threaten jobs, and highlight the Brexit-induced crisis facing car manufacturers and their employees.

“These statements are yet more proof that Brexit is killing the economy in South Wales. We must stop it.”
