Designed by patients, for patients, and supported by National Lottery’s Awards for All, Fair Treatment for the Women of Wales (FTWW) is excited to be bringing the first-ever Women’s Health and Equality Event to Wales.
Known as the WHEE 4 Wales, it’s happening in Llandudno Junction, North Wales on 23rd October.
FTWW is a patient-led voluntary organisation, providing support and advocacy for women across Wales living with chronic or recurring – often invisible – health conditions, including endometriosis, recurrent miscarriage, menopausal problems and many others.
They know first-hand how difficult it can be for women to have their voices heard about symptoms, because so many gynaecological conditions are often considered taboo and suffered in silence. The WHEE 4 Wales aims to bring patients together with healthcare professionals and policymakers to share experiences and discuss solutions.
There will be a whole host of workshops and discussions taking place, from expert panels on gynaecological health and menopause, workplace rights and reasonable adjustments, to improving your mental well-being. There are also set to be a range of stands in place, providing information about health and lifestyle, and opportunities to purchase pampering products.
There are still a handful of places available, with ticket prices at lower rates for those on a limited income. There are also travel bursaries available for people who may find distance and cost a barrier to attending.
The WHEE 4 Wales is taking place at Conwy Business Centre, Llandudno Junction, from 10am ‘til 4.15pm on Wednesday October 23rd. Lunch is included.
