A Chinook helicopter made an unplanned emergency landing on Carmarthenshire farmland, officials from the Ministry of Defence have confirmed.

The incident happened on Tuesday evening 28/07/2020 near Llangynin, where crew members suffered “minor injuries”.

It is suspected that a “wire strike” is thought to be responsible for the heavy-lifting helicopter coming down in the area.

Military chiefs have said that the Chinook helicopter was on a training exercise at the time of the incident.
