Shadow Minister for Education, Suzy Davies MS, has welcomed the move to vaccinate staff working in special schools, saying:

“This is welcome news for the staff of special schools, and the learners and their parents, and goes partway to fulfilling the Welsh Conservative call for all school staff to be vaccinated.

“However, the Welsh Labour-led Government must make sure that this runs parallel to the rollout of the vaccine for other vulnerable groups, and that no-one who is a priority is pushed lower down the list.

“The Welsh Government, we’re told, will publish its vaccination plan published early next week. It’s critical that this will detail how it will increase the availability of vaccinations so that no-one is left behind and that all vulnerable groups are at the head of the queue.”
