Experience the heat

Across the weekend, the festival’s iconic firepit will come alive as chefs cook exclusively with fire, smoke, and firewood, their movements framed by the crackle of flames and the scent of charred embers in the air. Drawing on their life experiences and the soul of their own restaurants, they’ll transform the simplest ingredients into dishes layered with flavour, texture, and character. From succulent meats sizzling over the coals to fresh fish gently smoked and vegetables charred for extra depth, there will be flavours to tempt every palate.

Sustainability in the spotlight

Chefs on Fire isn’t just about food – it’s built on Sustainable Hedonism, creating joy responsibly without excess. As one of Portugal’s most sustainable festivals, it’s guided by eight core pillars including nature, equality, and food waste. More than 1,000 trees have been planted to offset firewood use, a zero-plastic policy is enforced, and surplus food is donated to Refood.

Entertain all the senses

Beyond the gastronomic delights, Chefs on Fire offers a full-fledged festival extravaganza. With live performances from some of the most promising Portuguese musicians, attendees of all ages will be kept entertained across the weekend.
