This September, ForFarmers will be opening the doors of Carmarthen Mill for it’s Robotic Mill Tour, taking place on Wednesday 3rd September, the day will consist of speakers, a tour of the facilities and lunch.
The day will focus on ForFarmers’ robotic products and services. Attendees will receive presentations from Guto Jones, ForFarmers’ technical manager, who will speak on ‘using Optifeed to get the base right’. He will be followed by Jeff Davies, operations manager, and James Thomas, who will speak on ‘Carmarthen mill and the production of SMART OptiRobot compounds’.
ForFarmers’ robotic product manager Bas van Santen will present on using OptiRobot to control cost and maximise returns at the event.
Bas says: “We know half of all new milking systems installed on-farm in the UK are robotic. Here at ForFarmers, we have the tools, knowledge and services to support robotic dairy farmers, or those going to into it. We are here to help dairy farmers boost yields, profitability and herd health. Tea and coffee will be served from 10am, with presentations commencing at 10:30am. A cold buffet lunch will be served as well as refreshments before departure at 2:30pm.
