Reacting to the news that the four nations Covid recovery summit has been called off, Welsh Liberal Democrat Leader Jane Dodds MS has called for the summit to be rearranged ASAP.
Jane Dodds MS said:
“This is disappointing news. Only last week Boris was promising to improve relations between the four nations and now we learn this meeting has been cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.
“This meeting could have continued without him with the UK government sending another senior minister to take his place.
“This summit is vital to our recovery and needs to be rearranged as soon as possible. For Boris to cancel this meeting at the last minute with no reason shows how little Boris cares about the nations of the United Kingdom.”
