Police are investigating allegations of attempt robbery and assault which occurred in Aberystwyth late on the evening of Wednesday 6th July 2016.
At approximately 11.30pm a 53 year old male was getting cash from a cashpoint in Cambrian Place when he was approached by three males who demanded money and assaulted the male. The victim later attended hospital for treatment and has since been released. No money or property was stolen.
Around the same time a 29 year old male was also approached by three males in Cambrian Place. One of the males assaulted the 29 year old victim. The victim received injuries to the face and currently remains in hospital.
The three suspects are described as wearing grey clothing.
The two incidents are currently being linked and police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incidents or anyone who has information that could help the investigation to contact Aberystwyth CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
