Ranmore launches a sponsorship and donation matching campaign to help Wales Hockey reach the World Cup
Investment manager to match every pound donated from today in final fundraising push
Wales, 30th July 2026, Ranmore Fund Management has launched a sponsorship and donation matching campaign to help the Wales Senior Men’s Hockey Team reach the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup, sponsoring the team and pledging to match every pound donated to the team’s crowdfunding campaign from today until it closes, up to the target amount of £40,000.
Despite qualifying for the FIH Hockey World Cup for only the second time in the nation’s history, Wales is aiming to raise £40,000 to help cover the significant costs of competing at the highest level of international hockey.
As one of the sport’s smaller nations, the team relies on external fundraising to support everything from training camps and travel to accommodation, performance support and essential equipment as it prepares to take on the world’s best in Belgium and the Netherlands this August.
With the crowdfunding campaign entering its final hours, Ranmore is hoping this initiative will inspire hockey supporters, businesses and the wider public to rally behind the team. Every pound donated from today onwards will be matched by Ranmore, doubling the impact of every contribution. If supporters donate £5,000, Ranmore will donate a further £5,000 on top of their agreed sponsorship. If donations reach £10,000, Ranmore will match that too.

When I heard, Hockey Wales was still trying to raise the money needed to compete at the World Cup, I wanted to do something that would encourage as many people as possible to get involved.”
