Students at Coleg Sir Gâr are hoping to ignite the stage at Y Ffwrnes with a showcase of dance this month.
Ignite, is a performance showcase by performing arts, dance and production arts students at the college’s Graig campus who are all hoping to craft careers in the creative industries sector.
The performance features a range of dance styles including contemporary, commercial, ballet and jazz as well as some musical theatre. “This is the first time we’ve performed in the main house,” says dance lecturer Christy Anson-Harries. “Students are looking forward to rehearsals at the theatre where they’ll showcase their work and demonstrate the skills and dance they’ve been learning all year.”
