Here’s one that didn’t get away!

Yes, it didn’t get away and turned out to be the biggest ever fresh water fish caught in Llanelli!

The huge common carp was caught by Damian O’Mara the store manager at Anglers Corner at 5.50am yesterday morning (31st August) at Furnace Ponds.

It weighed 32lb 1oz and Marc Bassett owner of Anglers Corner said:

“Damian had been fishing all night and caught it early in the morning”

“He was so excited that he had to ring me to tell the news.”

“When he rang though, he woke me up!”
