Police attempt to try and trace donors to bogus charity collector

Police are attempting to trace those who donated money to a man claiming to be collecting for charity called the Special Friends Sunshine Club.

A 54 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of fraud and remains on bail while inquiries continue.

“So far we’ve been able to identify several people who have donated money,” said PC Mark Guy. “But we hope to identify more.

“If anyone did donate money to a man claiming to be from the Sunshine Club, please contact us at Llwynhendy police station on 101.”
