FREE – crime prevention event to stop number plate theft

Number plate theft is growing nationally with 15 million pounds worth of plates stolen yearly. Stolen number plates can hide the identity of a vehicle to avoid speeding fines and are used to commit criminal offences such as drive-offs from petrol stations, burglaries, assaults and other serious offences whereby people want to conceal their identity.

On Thursday 16th April 2015, car owners are invited to attend either Parc Pemberton retail park ( near Halfords ) between 0930hrs – 1200 hrs or Prince Phillip hospital carpark at 1300hrs – 1500hrs to have their number plates secured
