Staring in this film adaptation is Henry Cavil as Napoleon Solo and Armie Hammer as Lllya Kuryakin. Having seen the movie a few days after opening I can say it fulfilled every expectation I had of it.

It is every bit as tongue and cheek that I thought it would be, and I loved every minute of it. It’s so bad it’s brilliant!

Henry Cavil (Napoleon Solo) brings a style of cool, whit, charm, cheek and sleuth to the character which makes him so enjoyable to watch. Basically being sentenced to work for the C.I.A due to crimes of a scandalous nature, the C.I.A uses his specialist talents for secret missions which go on for as long as they are needed to. Seems a better option than a federal prison if you ask me!

Armie Hammer (Lllya Kuryakin) portrays a K.G.B killing machine. I believe Solo calls him, barely human! As for Kuryakin, now there’s a Russian you do not want to mess with, but with his episodes of psychotic rage and arrogant stubbornness, he can be a bit of a pussycat when he wants to be.

Hammer brings a quality of humour to a character that’s basically arrogant and cold.  Together Solo and Kuryakin delightfully perform as a contrast to each other making each character the opposite side of the same coin, which forms an interesting dynamic that drives conflict and drama throughout the movie.

With co-stars such as Alicia Vikander, Elizabeth Debicki, Jered Harris and Hugh Grant, this movie brings a bit of a treat for everyone. If you haven’t seen this film yet then I strongly suggest you do immediately.
