Okay it’s very cliche one of my favourite lyrics from any song is from Get fighted by Alexisonfire. “So make sure you love like you’ve never been hurt, and when you dance, dance like there’s no one watching you”.
Everyone else is taken, so it’s important to just be just yourself.
In a world so vast why would you want to be anyone else?
A lot of music and a lot of my growing up came from music, I only wish I had listened to The Beatles before I was 16. I can accept people who don’t like them as everyone has their own taste, but I can’t trust someone who don’t respect them. They are true pioneers and there are many other bands like Linkin Park or artists like Crosby Stills and Nash who have made influenced so many artists.
Lady Gaga; I don’t agree with some of her actions but her and Katy Perry’s individuality is inspiring so many people to be who they want to be. This world is changing fast and do you want to be remembered? I have struggled many years changing my appearance, I’m a different person every day depending what mood I’m in. Why should I restrain myself? Why should I only know about one genre of music? Learn, always learn. If you don’t like it that’s fine but always try it. Believe me I have tried with house music and I just can’t get it. Pop house is okay.
My mum told me the other day “when people ask what you’re up to i reply with ‘Abi is a free spirit” and that has got to be the best thing my mum has ever said to me. Not just that she accepts that I am who I am but she lets others know she feels that way. That is a true blessing. I may only be 23 and i’m stuck in a “I don’t know what I want to do with my life but all I know is I want to happy”. I am not wealthy, I have mental health issues and semi-disabled at the moment for other reasons. So it has taken me a while to get back on top of being positive. Writing this is an accomplishment in itself, if the only job in the world is to inspire others to do follow their dreams then I am the happiest person in world. I don’t need money. Just give me a sketchbook and some music and I’m beaming.
So anyway here is the link to the songs I have made into a playlist. It is an open playlist so you can add yours! Do me a favour dance around to it, sing as loud as you want, take it to the beach, take it on a walk. Just promise me you’ll give it a go every morning. Not necessarly my playlist but anything that brings a smile to your face. We don’t get much sunshine here so let’s make it ourselves! The playlist is very eceletic and obvoiusly slightly biased to songs I like. So put it on shuffle, find something new for you 🙂 There is rock, pop, drum and bass, reggae and much more.
I will be writing another article with films/tv series that can lift you up. I have to say writing this article and researching for my blog and my column here, I have spent the entire morning signing (very badly) but smiling. I have posted this on to my blog www.ichosetobee.wordpress.com as well, I know you have already read this one but more clicks motivates me. I also have other posts that are more about me and other ways I have self healed.

Can YOU Help?

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading the West Wales Chronicle than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. And unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. The West Wales Chronicle’s independent, investigative journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as £1, you can support the Chronicle – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
