- New centre is the product of a five-year agreement for office and workshop space at Millbrook Proving Ground
- Opening was attended by senior managers of Calsonic Kansei and Millbrook, and local dignitaries including the High Sheriff for Bedfordshire
- Calsonic Kansei also have offices in Carmarthenshire, Wales.
The official opening ceremony for the new Calsonic Kansei research and development centre took place on Tuesday 28 June 2016 at Millbrook, the leading independent vehicle test, validation and engineering service provider. Millbrook Technology Park is the ideal location for the new facility, with its focus on innovation and technological developments in the automotive industry.
Guests heard from key representatives for both companies, and the opening was marked by the planting of a young sapling, which will grow as the centre develops and marks the budding partnership of these two companies.
The opening of the centre marks a new partnership between the two companies as they work together for the benefit of their mutual customers. Millbrook’s test facilities and expertise were the perfect space for Calsonic Kansei to locate its European base, and start work on a range of products it hopes to bring to market soon. Millbrook’s Technology Park is home to a number of facilities, forming an integral part of the UK’s automotive cluster.
