Plaid Cymru LLanelli use their offices for donations to the Myrtle House Foodbank

“We wish to notify local residents that we will be using our office at Plaid Cymru Llanelli as a drop-off point for donations to the Myrtle House foodbank here in Llanelli.”

Over 90% of the food distributed by foodbanks in The Trussell Trust network is donated by the public – that’s why your food donations are absolutely vital to their ability to give everyone referred to them a balanced and nutritious three day supply of food.

Sean Rees, Plaid’s Campaign Manager in Llanelli said:

“This is not the kind of society Plaid Cymru wants people to live in. Austerity isn’t working, it has increased inequality and penalised those with the least. This combined with the ongoing stagnation in wages means more and more people in Wales are becoming dependent on donations. We must do all we can to tackle poverty, deliver prosperity and support those on low incomes.

“We will be using our office on Bres Road as a drop-off point for people wishing to donate to the Myrtle House foodbank this Christmas. We will be receiving items until Thursday 15th December so that those in real need of help are able to benefit from the generosity of our communities.”

Urgently needed food items

  • tinned fruit (400gms)
  • tea bags (80’s)
  • dried pasta (500gms)
  • UHT milk (1 litre)
  • Breakfast Cereals
