Carmarthenshire Mobile libraries have been joining in the World Book Day celebrations visiting schools across Carmarthenshire.

Schoolchildren from Llanybydder, Hendy and Talley spent time choosing books off the vans and taking part in other activities including Ziptales and Active Story time.

The council’s libraries manager, Mark Jewell said: “Everyone had a brilliant time and braved the cold weather to explore the mobile library and choose a book of their liking. Each child received a library card and goody bag as part of the visit.”

World Book Day is a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and more importantly, it’s a celebration of reading.
