With preparations underway for Wales’ match against Spain on Thursday the 11th of October at the Principality Stadium, the FAW will be giving fans the opportunity to re-live some the historic wins against Germany and Italy at the ground in 2002.

Starting this Thursday (27 September) as part of the new #ThrowbackThursday #CofionCymru series, you can watch Wales’ 1-0 win against Germany in 2002 in full on their Facebook page. On the following Thursday, fans will be able to enjoy the 2-1 win against Italy as 72,000 people packed the then-called Millennium Stadium.

Wales fielded full strength sides in both matches and you’ll be able to watch some of Wales’ most famous starts in their prime including Gary Speed, Ryan Giggs, Craig Bellamy and John Hartson under the management of Mark Hughes.

The games will be streamed as-live with the original commentary from 19:45 on both nights while the Twitter (@Cymru) and Instagram (@FAWales) accounts will go ‘back in time’ and report on the matches as-live.
