Ben Lake, MP for Ceredigion, will be visiting the site of Chuckling Goat Ltd. on Thursday, November the 8th at 10am, to cut the ribbon on the business’ new building.

This local business, run by husband-and-wife team Shann and Richard Jones, has enjoyed phenomenal success. In 2014 Richard had to sell his motorcycle to buy bottles for their probiotic kefir drink. Today the farm-based business has a profit of over £1 million per year, 22 employees, hundreds of thousands of customers in 45 countries around the world, and has just won the 2018 International Award for Best New Dairy Drink.

Ben Lake, MP says:

“The story behind Chuckling Goat is a truly inspirational one. Shann and Rich’s passion for their produce and their sheer determination have enabled them to expand successfully as a business, whilst also retaining their commitment to keeping everything handmade and creating jobs for local people.

Small businesses are the backbone of any local economy and Chuckling Goat is a shining example here in Ceredigion. It’s my great pleasure to officially open their new headquarters at Brynhoffnant and I wish the innovative team all the very best for a successful future.”

Shann Jones says:

“We first met Ben Lake, MP at his local clinic, where he helped us resolve some complicated planning issues we were having. Ben’s dynamic, personal, hands-on approach makes him the kind of MP that every local business dreams of having in their area! The goats are very excited to meet such an up-and-coming political personality, right here on the farm.”
