Dylan Recycling Area in Bryn has seen a massive surge in flytipping. The flytipping is so bad that residents are concerned that this may be on a commercial scale. Neighbouring Councillor Jason Hart claims that the flytipping is causing rat infestations and many neighbouring properties can’t enjoy the gardens as a result.

Cllr Hart says “As soon as the rubbish is cleared mounds of rubbish are dumped back there. Carmarthenshire County Council need to act quickly to catch those responsible. The amounts of rubbish being dumped at the site can only be described as on a commercial scale. I’ve reported these issues to the Council but preventative measures need to be taken asap. Not only is it unsightly but it’s attracting rodents which is having a detrimental effect on the neighbours”.

Cllr Hart is calling on the Council to install cameras at the recycling area and to deal with the rat infestation.
