Thanks to your donations, Hywel Dda Health Charities has purchased nearly £5,000 worth of equipment to help with wellbeing classes for palliative care patients at the Ty Bryngwyn Hospice attached to Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli.

Now that the set of 10 stackable chairs, a fliptop meeting table and a large, portable screen have been delivered, classes and services can restart both at the unit and virtually.

Heather Toller, Service Delivery Support Manager, said: “We have been able to bring back wellbeing services such as art therapy, reiki and other relaxation techniques, music and gym sessions.

“This has only been possible because of the provision of this new, more versatile equipment and furniture which gives us more floor space. It is making such a difference to our patients.”

Claire Price, the Clinical Lead Nurse for Specialist Palliative Care in Carmarthenshire, is pictured with some of the new equipment.
