John Barnes: You couldn’t ask anymore from Wales

Saying Wales have been disappointing is a bit harsh. The Welsh teams of the past where you’d have Ian Rush, Ryan Giggs, Neville Southall, and Kevin Ratcliffe who were all winning Champions Leagues and European competitions with their teams and didn’t qualify. This Welsh team did really well to qualify for the World Cup. Really disappointing result against Iran, an incredible draw against America and England can beat America so you wouldn’t really expect Wales to beat England so it’s disappointing but I don’t think you could ask anymore of them.

John Barnes: Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey are Wales’ talisman

I don’t think Rob Page should have dropped Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey, they’re the talisman of the team and in a game you have to win, had they not played, they still wouldn’t have won. Rob Page also would have had a lot of criticism for it, too.
