Popular Mid Wales farm offers July breaks in a straw cottage or converted granary

People seeking a late July get away in a unique straw bale cottage or converted granary on a Mid Wales farm with great views over the surrounding countryside are being urged to book quickly.

A 15% discount is being offered on stays taken between July 1 and 17 in Straw Cottage at Ty Gwyn Farm – www.tygwynfarm.co.uk – which is less than three miles from the Victorian spa town of Llandrindod Wells.

For those who prefer staying in a converted granary, Granary Cottage at Ty Gwyn Farm is available for seven nights from July 7 for £550.

Straw Cottage is a unique glamping cottage sitting in three acres of its own ground, surrounded by farmland with far reaching views. Sleeping four in one double room and one twin bedded room, the cottage is off grid but with comfort – it has a wood burner, flushing loo, shower, gas oven, lighting by lanterns and candles.

Guests ca either relax inside on deep sofas or sit outside amidst dark skies, with the only sounds being sheep and the stream.

Straw cottage offers a romantic break for couples or it’s great for children who can take buckets and nets down to the stream or follow the treasure hunt. Weekly lets cost £639, short breaks £453 for three weekend nights or four mid-week nights. Well -behaved dogs welcome.

Granary Cottage sleeps four in two en-suite bedrooms, ideal for two couples. Set in quiet courtyard surrounded by farmland with panoramic views, the cottage offers guests dark skies, walking from the door and a Victorian spa town with all facilities nearby. Dogs welcome and good speed WiFi is available.
