Founded in 1995 by Nest Evans and Huw Thomas, Cantre Mobility has grown from a small, family-led operation into one of the UK’s leading mobility retailers, with a strong reputation for expert advice, specialist services, and customer-focused care. Now employing a team of over 20 staff across its Aberaeron headquarters and Carmarthen showroom, the company continues to support individuals across Wales in maintaining independence and quality of life.

The anniversary open day showcased the very best of the mobility sector, with over 15 key suppliers attending to deliver product demonstrations and educational seminars. Visitors had the opportunity to explore the latest innovations in mobility equipment, while healthcare professionals benefited from hands-on learning and specialist insights.

A particular highlight of the day was the involvement of the local Special Olympics team, who delivered an engaging and inspiring introduction to the sport of boccia. Their participation not only showcased the talent of young athletes from the local area but also helped raise awareness of inclusive sport and accessibility.

The event saw a strong turnout from the local community, with attendees enthusiastically supporting a range of fundraising games and activities throughout the day. Thanks to this collective effort, Cantre Mobility was able to raise an impressive £1,000 in just one day.

The funds have now been presented to the League of Friends of Glangwili Hospital, supporting their ongoing work to enhance patient care and facilities for the local community.

Nest Evans, Director of Cantre Mobility, commented:
“We are incredibly proud to celebrate 30 years in business, and even more proud to mark this milestone by giving back to our local community. The support we received on the day was overwhelming, and we are truly grateful to everyone who attended, contributed, and helped us raise such a fantastic amount for the League of Friends at Glangwili Hospital.”

Sion Evans, Director of Cantre Mobility, added:
“We remain a proud family-run business with a clear focus on supporting our local community, and that will always stay at the heart of everything we do. As we continue to grow, we are committed to continually improving our service and the support we offer to those who rely on us.”

Cantre Mobility continues to build on its 30-year legacy, with ongoing investment in its people, showrooms, and service offering—ensuring it remains at the forefront of the mobility sector while staying true to its family values and community focus.
