Families can take aim at some frightful fun as FrightFest Halloween Archery takes place at Llys-y-frân Lake on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October.
The Halloween fun kicks off in the visitor centre, where families can get creative and give their pumpkins a frightful face. Then it’s time to head to the archery range and test their aim against a spooky selection of zombies, ghouls and other Halloween targets.
For the grand finale, it’s Pumpkin Head Showdown. After carefully creating creepy pumpkin characters, participants will get the chance to take aim and see if their archery skills are sharp enough to hit their Halloween creations.
FrightFest Halloween Archery is designed for families (age 6 and over) and groups looking to add something a little different to their Halloween half-term visit to Dwr Cymru’s Llys-y-frân Lake.
Sessions cost £15 per person and places are limited. Choose from 10am, 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3pm sessions. Advance booking via the Llys-y-frân Lake website.
Standard archery safety rules apply, and all participants will be required to follow the instructor’s guidance throughout the session.
There’s plenty more to enjoy, set off on a Halloween Nature Trail, collecting woodland ingredients along the way to help create a magical spell. Once the spell is complete, children can head back to the visitor centre to claim their prize, before getting creative with some spooky biscuit decorating in the café.
Families can refuel with lunch or a drink in the café, and with KIDS EAT FREE throughout half term, a family day out doesn’t have to cost the earth! Simply purchase one adult meal and receive one kids meal FREE. Check out the full menu on our website.
Add on some activities and spend the day at Llys-y-frân Lake, hire bikes to explore the site, burn off some energy in the adventure playground or bike skills pump track, and enjoy the autumn scenery on one of the walking trails.
