South West Workways is to hold monthly outreach sessions at the St Elli Shopping Centre in Llanelli starting from 7th February.

On the first Thursday of each month, members of the Workways team will be on hand to explain how they can support jobseekers back into employment. The outreach stand will be located by the sweet shop at the entrance to the market between 9am and 3.30pm.

Workways, which is backed with £12.6 million from the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government, aims to tackle the barriers that prevent individuals from finding employment.

The project provides support with job searching, CVs, applications forms, interview skills, telephone techniques, access to volunteering and opportunities to gain qualifications. Participants are also matched with local businesses, helping them gain the vital experience needed to find long term employment.

South West Workways is led by Neath Port Talbot Council, in collaboration with Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Swansea Councils.
