There was so much live music on in Llanelli town on Saturday 6th July that I was spoilt for choice with where to go and I was disappointed that I did’nt have time to get to the Met Bar to see the fantastic Greenday tribute band Green Haze :(.
Anyway I chose to see Ozzmaniac a Black Sabbath/ Ozzy Osbourne tribute band live at the Kilkenny Cat.
I arrived for the second half of the band’s set and I was immediately impressed by the singers vocals and his likeness to Ozzy. The band launched into a rocking version of Crazy train and the brilliant vocals were topped off with a nifty guitar solo that would do Randy Rhodes proud. I got to hear some other classic songs including ‘Bark at the Moon’ and ‘Paranoid’ which were again well play in true Sabbath/ Ozzy style.

I then made my way down to the Kazbar for the Heyzeus Promotions event where Searching for David and Beautiful Strangers were playing. Sadly by the time I reached the Kazbar I had missed Searching for David’s set and I arrived midway through Beautiful Strangers set . I know from seeing Searching for David in the Kilkenny Cat the week before and in the Masons Arms two weeks before that, that they would have put on a fantastic Kazbar show. https://www.facebook.com/SearchingforDavid?fref=ts
Beautiful Strangers put on a tremendous live performance as usual exuding great stage presence to support the delivery of their fantastic original well played catchy rock and roll tunes including the song ‘Kick Me When I’m Down’ which features on the First Llanelli Music Scene Downloadable cd. www.llanellitown.com/musicplayer I could listen to this band play every week given the chance, they are what live music is about!
