In two separate operations, police have arrested two men in relation to drug offences in the Llanelli area.
In the first instance, officers in Crosshands executed a warrant in Pontyberem and bailed a 31 year old man for possession of cannabis while enquiries continue.
In the second incident a 42 year old man from the Fforest area of Pontarddulais was given an adult caution for cannabis production.
“Results such as these come about thanks to the vigilance and visibility of our officers in the community,” said Inspector Paul Lewis. “The arrest and caution in Fforest, for example, came about after officers noticed the smell of cannabis coming from a property. Their enquiries led to the discovery of a number of cannabis plants within the property and the owner was dealt with accordingly.
“Our officers are patrolling our communities daily, looking out for signs such as these, and criminals need to be aware that we will continue to adopt this proactive approach.”
