CREATE ME HAPPY are holding over the half term holidays two Lego clubs. One is being held in Pontiets Tenant’s Resource Centre on the 18th and the other in The Vestry, Cowell Street, Llanelli on the 20th February.
“Our Lego workshops are developed to help engage parents and children in the art of structured play and spontaneous fun together.” Said Jane Gwynn, who is one of the founders of the organisation.
“Many children from families where mental health is a struggle are isolated and/or become their parents ‘carers’ and miss opportunities to flourish as simply children. It is an event that can give the gift of normality to the children and parents in an social environment of safety and support.”
“We are also collecting the “Cash For Communities” tokens from the Carmarthen Journal in an effort to secure some funds, and have been announced as one of the twenty five community groups that the newspaper will support. If you, friends or family would like to collect on our behalf we would be extremely grateful and can arrange pick up.”
