With Autumn well and truly among us, now is the time to start planning your getaway with so many amazing destinations dotted around Europe.
To help you find the perfect location, DiscoverCars.com has completed a ranking of the best budget-friendly autumn getaway destinations for 2022.
To do this, they analysed several factors including the average flight cost from Heathrow airport and the number of budget hotels available in each city.
Unusually, Autumn is looking a bit warmer this year, so for that reason, we’ve also looked into the current temperature in each of the destinations. We also averaged the temperature for the next two weeks as one of the factors included in the ranking.
The top ten destinations for an Autumn getaway with today’s temperature included were:

- Barcelona (Spain): 62 points – 22°C
- Lisbon (Portugal): 56 points – 20°C
- Berlin (Germany): 55 points – 18°C
- Copenhagen (Denmark): 46 points – 15°C
- Bruges (Belgium): 43 points – 20°C
- Amsterdam (Netherlands): 43 points – 19°C
- Dubrovnik (Croatia): 42 points – 24°C
- Edinburgh (Scotland): 39 points – 16°C
- Florence (Italy): 38 points – 23°C
